Draft: this page is being finalized and may change before launch.

SlideHUD lets you turn presentation slides with an Even R1 ring and read your speaker notes on Even G2 glasses. To do that, the SlideHUD app on your computer and the SlideHUD plugin on your glasses talk to each other through our relay service. This policy explains what that involves. It applies to the international edition of SlideHUD at slidehud.hsmdata.cloud.

Who we are

SlideHUD is operated by 上海桦书闽数据科技有限公司 (HSMData) (“we”, “us”). For anything about your data, email support@hsmdata.cloud.

Your presentations

While you present, the SlideHUD app reads the open presentation on your computer and sends your glasses what they display: the file name, the current slide number and title, the next slide’s title, the current slide’s speaker notes, the slideshow status and elapsed time. This information passes through our relay in memory, is delivered to your glasses, and is discarded. We never store your slides, notes or file names on our servers, and the presentation file itself never leaves your computer.

If you use keyboard mode, the app also checks which program is in front (its process name, not its window title) so that it can tell you where the keystrokes will land. Talk history used for rehearsal statistics is kept only on your computer.

How we use data

Only to provide SlideHUD: signing you in, linking your devices, relaying commands and display content, syncing settings, providing Pro features you have paid for or are trialling, answering your support requests, and protecting the service. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. The website sets no cookies; the sign-in page stores your session in your browser’s local storage.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for) and on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Who processes data for us

The glasses plugin runs inside the Even Realities app, which handles the Bluetooth link to your glasses and ring under its own privacy policy. We do not share data with Even Realities.

Your data may be processed in the United States and in other countries where Cloudflare operates. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, it is protected by the safeguards in our providers’ data processing terms, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS and secure WebSockets). Device keys, session tokens and sign-in codes are random and stored only as SHA-256 hashes on our side. On Windows, your device key is encrypted with your Windows account (DPAPI) before it is saved.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you may have further rights, including to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Children

SlideHUD is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
